Looks like we have found a place to move to.
Due to the low home prices, we have decided to buy a house, however instead of jumping into something we may regret, we have decided to move into a friends rental house here in the Cape and start the home buying process after the new year.
There are many short sales(which can take some time to process) as well as foreclosures in our area.
That gives Rob's job a few more months of security(The City is always threatening layoffs/budget cuts) and gets us through the holidays.
It also allows us to save a bunch of money in the meantime as there is a $500/month difference in rent from the condo to the house we will be going to.
Rob qualified for the VA home loan, so that will be great as well.
We are in the process of trying to get out of our lease here a month early so we can get this move overwith. We will hear soon if they will allow that or not.(From what we heard, the owner of our current home is in pre-forclosure status anyway...so who knows).
It really stinks that they can tell us when to leave, but we cannot leave any earlier or later than that...I would hate for the opportunity for this house to pass us by because we can't get out of this darn lease...ugh.
The new rental is much smaller than what we have now, but it is in good shape and it is near a few of Ben's baseball buddies.
I will get you the new address once everything is confirmed.
Smiles, Lynne
