Ben's Back!

Lauren loves her Pug Webkinz from Grammie and David!

Lauren opening her Sea Dogs shirt from Grammie and David.

Lauren got a cute, cute dalmation from Aunt Tracey and Family

The best gift of all is the Italian Sandwich I ate for lunch! SOOOO Good!

Ben and Nana arrived safely this morning. Lauren kept hugging Ben over and over. The first hug was ok but after that he was already irritated by her affection. It was like Christmas for Lauren with her gifts from Maine. She was all HUGE smiles and I know it felt good that people thought of her. Luggage arrived and we are home getting ready to head to baseball practice tonight.

Ben's trip is coming to an end...

I just hung up with Ben for the last time from Maine. I am excited to see him. This kid has just had a blast the last 11 days. Now it's time to say goodbye and I know how hard it is for everyone. I'm trying not to cry, just typing this now.

Well, Ben has just loved his time up there. He got to spend the past week with Aunt Tracey and Uncle Billy and his cousins Kyle and Megan. He had so much fun getting to know his cousins again. They got to feed horses at a local farm and he really liked that. Ben and Kyle got to do lots of "boy stuff" and I am sure Ben will have much stronger memories of them to look back on until the next trip.

This past Friday, Ben got to stay in Standish(Sebago Lake) with his Aunt Terry and Uncle Chris and cousins Jordan and Cameron. He had a great time there also. They got to swim in the lake and he got to jetski with his cousin Kevin and his daughter JamieLynn, how could he not love that! What fun!

Ben then headed to Old Orchard Beach with Grammie and his Aunt, Uncle and cousins, where he ate one of my favorite foods of all time...Pier Fries! He had fun riding the rides and playing with his family there.

Then if that wasn't enough excitement, Grammie and David took Ben and Kyle to a Sea Dogs baseball game(Red Sox minor a team). Ben said he had a great time there.

I do have to say, Thank you to everyone who touched Ben's life the past 11 days. He will never forget this trip and the kindness of his family to completely open their homes and lives for two weeks and make his trip to Maine unforgettable. He got to do more than any 12year old could ask for and believe me, he appreciates it all as do Rob and I. I hope the next time Ben sees you all that we will be standing right beside him.

Thanks and Smiles, Lynne

More from Maine

Skipping rocks, such a BOY! See all the lobster boats.

Ben with a very happy Grammie!

Ben and David enjoying Maine seafood!

Ben is having a blast in Maine! He is spending the weekend with his Grammie and David (Rob's Mom). Last night they went to Pine Point in Scarborough and he ate yummy(his words) New England Clam Chowder.

Today they were heading out to have lots more fun.

Here are the pictures Grammie took yesterday.

I hope he knows how lucky he is to have such a great family.

And the fun begins...

Thank you to My sister Tracey for documenting Ben's trip for me. As you know I LOVE taking photos of the kids and Tracey has stepped in to fill my shoes while Ben is there. The weather is hot today so the kids got to have a fun time on the waterslide at Aunt Tracey's. The first picture is Ben with his cousins Kyle and Megan in the backyard. What a fun time!

Ben has landed in Boston!

What a giant relief to get the call that he is safely on the ground in Boston. I briefly talked to him while he was waiting for his luggage. He had a good flight and liked seeing New York City from the air. Aunt Tracey and Uncle Billy as well as his cousins were right there to greet Ben and Nana.
These are some airport photos. Ben was very responsible helping his Nana get safely to the plane. He is a very good young man and we are proud of him.
