Updates from between boxes

Finding boxes to move is no small feat. Our move date is November 1st and our house looks like we've been vandalized. I have boxes everywhere. Thankfully we have baseball friends and Robs old work friends who have been bringing us boxes.

Moving sort of gives you the chance to start over. The kids have done a great job of giving up things they really didn't want. We have donated 4 boxes to Goodwill. Beth took three boxes of VHS tapes and books to her work at an assisted living center. We are making progress. It just doesn't look like it. For a person like me who needs to have everything in it's place, this sure is not easy.

We had our walkthrough for our new home last week and that went well. The home we are moving into has never been lived in, so they needed to check that all the appliances worked, and that there was hot water, all that kind of stuff. Besides a couple of bad lightbulbs, it's ready for us to move in.

Waiting to move is not fun. Both Rob and I are "get it done" people. We can't pack things we will need over the next week, so we are in a holding pattern, just waiting for the take-off signal. We will be moving from our house exactly six years to the week that we moved in. Wierd.

Halloween is sneaking up on us. Lauren's friend gave her an Anikin (Star Wars) costume, so that's what she is planning to dress up as. Ben will not be dressing up this year.

Rob had an interview for the 3rd shift job last Monday. He decided to apply and see what happens. There were about 30 people being interviewed for 1 job so we are not expecting to get it. Doesn't hurt to try. If he doesn't get it, there may be another opening in a few months with more potential. What ever happens will happen.

Oh, here's a warning for everyone. Keep an eye on your bank accounts. Rob looked at our account yesterday and we have 5 withdrawals that weren't ours. Someone used my debit card # to take $270.00 from our checking acct. Luckily he caught it quickly and the bank was very helpful. We cancelled my bank card and filled out a dispute form. They will return our money to the account within 10 days. Unfortunately that will be about 4 days too late to pay our Nov rent to Sandoval. Never easy I tell ya. Always something.
