Ben and Rob just got home from Tampa.
Ben's team came in 4th overall throughout the state of Florida.
Ben was the catcher for all 5 games they played. That's 30 innings of squating!
Game #1 Friday Night:
The team lost 5-1
Game #2 Saturday 8am:
The team won 14-4
Game #3 Saturday noon:
The team won 5-0
Game #4 Sunday 10am:
The team won 9-6
Game #5 Sunday noon:
The team lost 8-3
They were 1 game from the finals. Ben did well defensively but had a hard weekend with the bat. He made many throwdowns to catch runners stealing and laid down 2 sacrifice bunts to advance runners and beat out both to get safely to first base. He had lots of deep fly outs. We will have to work with him on hitting the ball lower.
Both Ben and Rob had a fun time this weekend and now they are home safe.
Smiles, Lynne
